Easter Recap

Just a quickie today, guys.

We had a wonderful Easter weekend, but unfortunately the Big Boy was sick.

He may have puked in my lap at Easter dinner.

He spent the majority of the weekend sacked out on a towel-laden beanbag, with a bucket nearby.

Yes, he's asleep clutching a screwdriver.

But despite the illness and the freezing rain on Saturday, we still hunted treat-laden eggs with great joy.

Dude, this is awesome.

And of course no Easter is complete without beautiful girls in sweet pink dresses.

And blue socks.

We even managed to squeeze in a little outdoor time on Sunday.

"Dis da gah-den."

And tho I am oh-so-weary of Tylenol, Ibuprofen, thermometers, puke buckets, boogery noses and clear-liquids-only diets, I still managed to have some wonderful, joyful, beautiful moments, and for that I am grateful.

Someday I'll forget the puke and remember only the sweetness.
Well, I'll probably never forget the puking-at-Easter-dinner, but you get my drift.

How was your weekend?

  1. Oh, dear. I'm sorry to hear the germs are cramping your style again, but glad your Big Boy got to enjoy the festivities all the same. I absolutely love that he fell asleep with screwdriver in hand. Is there any other way to nap?

  4. Ohh dear, poor big boy! We were all sick with colds this weekend, so I feel your pain. I just hope Maeve is 100% next Saturday for her first birthday! That bean bag chair with the towel on it was a great idea btw.

  5. ewwww! we had to cancel christmas one year thanks to a puking child (of mine). Unfortunately, despite our best efforts we still mangaed to spred it to four other family members (with me having to get an injection to stop me throwing up!).
Ahhh...you gotta know you've got them!
Hope it all gets better soon :-)

PS: and yes, we really do have kookaburras and koalas and kangaroos and a lovely assortment of venomous snakes! yay! (okay, so perhaps the snakes aren't so great, but the others are pretty cool!)
