I will engage in a fall activity each and every weekend.
I will wear my sweater boots (remember the two lefties I got last year? Yeah, those).
My house will smell like one of the following every day:
* crock pot deliciousness
* cinnamon baking
* oven roasting deliciousness
I will take note of the lovely colors.
I will love my mums.
As we say in New England, these are "hahdy" mums, not even my black thumb, nor the over-zealous enthusiasm of a two year old can kill them. |
Whatever would we do without him. A little green thumb, in the making. |
I will enjoy the sun when it is warm.
Perhaps not quite this much, but I will lift my face and soak it up. |
I promise not to let it slip by, like I always do.
Now, what shall go in the oven today?
it has become my favorite season too..hate the winter and spring always seems to be raining..the last couple of summers have been stressful..also hoping for a change of pace this Fall..i am with you pulling all the enjoyment out of the day ..life is too short and rushes by too fast not to stop and enjoy it..love you guys NANA--love the wee ones tee shirt ..glad you got the right name on the back hehe
ReplyDeleteI baked an apple pie yesterday after going picking last weekend. And I made some homemade apple cider in the slow cooker last night. Tedious, but yummy!
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you, I'm all about fall!! And there's nothing like autumn in New England. :)
I think your fall "to do" list is fantastic--once the temperature dips below the 80s here I'm going to be all over making soups and bread from scratch. Now if I could only find some changing leaves... :D
ReplyDeleteDon't you just LOVE mums? We had them in pots in the church when we got married. I love their coppery, yellowy, orangy blooms!
