We survived the first day.
I walked my boy in, handed him over to his teacher, said a brief good-bye and walked out.
I did not cry.
I didnt!
I took the Wee One to Wal-mart, and listened to him complain that he didn't want "Mama-time" he wanted to go to "pwee-schoo!"
Sigh.
Sometimes you can't win.
Here is a picture the preschool teacher sent to me - I had to crop out the other kids, as I don't have their permission to post photos on the interwebs here.
But believe me when I say my boy is playing near several kids. Look at him go!
Look at him. There he is, being awesome. And I'm at Wal-mart, not crying. |
We go for a full day on Friday.
Goodness. I'm so proud of him I could burst.
Woo hoo! Way to go, Momma! I'm glad he did so well, but even more glad that you did!

ReplyDeleteYour pride is well deserved for him as well as for you! I'll most likely be a mess when mine venture out without me. Thanks for sharing your journey so I can start thinking about how to handle mine! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you both for handling such a big day so well! I can only hope that Sammy and I do as well when our time comes.
