Yesterday the kids were sick.
So there were a few "cleaning-the-puke-off-the-bedspread" moments
Always hose off before putting in the washer. Trust me. |
I took pajama-wearing children to the farm to pick up our CSA haul. Both were disgruntled to be left in the car.
Several pounds of cucumbers + sickly children = a perfect day for pickle-making!
Worth the effort. |
Making my grandmother's pickles always makes me feel close to her, and I need a little nana-lovin' yesterday.
Yum. |
Luckily the bug was short-lived and everyone had perked up by the end of the day.
Tired, but smiling |
And there you have it, a day in moments.
Any good plans for the weekend?
Yikes, having two sick kids at home is no picnic! :( Glad they are feeling better, though.
ReplyDeleteHomemade pickles? Holy cow, that sounds good!
Sorry! That is what I did earlier this week. I hope they are better today.

Ooh, I have been wanting to make pickles myself. Those look amazing! Also, your bedspread advice is very wise!
ReplyDeleteYum, those look good. I have never made pickles or anything like that.
ReplyDeleteAwh, well I hope everyone is at a hundred percent now...
ReplyDeleteI know this visit is way overdue but I still wanted to pop in!
Last week, I was playing around on my new phone and got this shot of my nephew. I always enjoy him, but particularly when I see my sister's essence in him. Does that make sense? This was one of those moments...
