Just finished a great book: 206 Bones by Kathy Reichs. I'm so excited to have stumbled onto this book because it's a series! Hooray! Apparently there are 11 other books starring the intrepid forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperence Brennan
. Now you guys know I love me some homicidal maniacs, but 
206 Bones adds a new angle to the classic homicide detective drama. I am truly a science geek at heart and I thought all the anthropology stuff was fascinating - there may have been a visit to a scanning electron microscope in this book - be still my geeky little heart. I'll definitely be checking out the rest of the series. What are you reading lately? I'm always up for recommendations. Go ahead, spill. Come on, I admitted my love of the embarrassing teenage vampires series.
these are the books that the TV series BONES is based on..it is an awesome tv series and the books are great too..i have to confess that i am reading the Irish books ..i guess that is right up there with the teenagers vamp books..but need the mindless stuff this month..
ReplyDeleteI just finished "Hit by a Farm" by Catherine Friend. It's a true story about the author and her parter, who have always lived in the city, and they up and buy 53 acres and build a farm on it. The author is constantly torn between her love of writing, and her feeling of obligation to her farm. I am **sooooooo** sad that I'm finished with it. It was one of those books, ya know? Where you love it so much you don't ever want it to end. Before that one I read "The Help" by Katherine Stockett (which I just found out is being made into a movie...yay!), and before that one was "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen. Both great books as well.
